Terms and Conditions
Please read the following before agreeing to any support package with Little Acorn Sleep. Thank You.
1. The purchase of a Sleep Programme Consultation (the “Consultation”) will be deemed as acceptance of the following terms and conditions.
2. The full fee for Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy services is due on booking your Consultation with Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy.
3. If the Sleep Programme is cancelled by the Client (the payer and receiver of the Consultation) the following terms and conditions apply:
Less than 24 hours’ notice – no amount will be refunded
24-48 hours’ notice – 50% of full amount will be refunded
More than 48 hours’ notice – 100% will be refunded to the client
4. Support days will be dictated by the package purchased.
i) It is the client’s responsibility to utilise the support while working through the plan
ii) It is the client’s responsibility to initiate contact with Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy during the support period.
iv) Support is available via WhatsApp 9.30am-5.30pm UK time, 7 days a week. Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy will endeavour to respond to all communication received within those hours as soon as possible, notwithstanding personal circumstances.
v) If a pause in support days is required, this will be at Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy’s discretion.
vi) Additional support days can be purchased to be used while the infant is still within the age range accommodated by their initial plan. Support days can be purchased in quantities of 7 or 14 days.
5. Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy reserves the right to cancel Consultations at short notice due to personal circumstances. In the event of Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy cancelling, the Client will be offered a full refund or alternative dates if preferred.
6. In respect of each programme (the “Programme”) granted by Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy to the Client, the Client agrees that it shall not provide the Programme to any third party who is not a Client.
7. Advice given by Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy is intended as advice related to sleep and is not intended as a substitute for medical advice from a GP or other medical expert.
8. Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy advises to the best of their ability, experience and training but does not accept responsibility or liability for sleep and behavioural work that does not achieve the desired result following the Consultation process, including any unforeseen developmental changes or external circumstances.
9.Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy provides advice and strategies to assist with sleep; results may vary, and success depends on consistent implementation by the client.
10. If the Client’s child has an underlying health condition, Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy reserves the right to not proceed with the Consultation. If this is the case, the Client will receive a full refund.
11. If, in the weeks and months after the Consultation’s follow-up support finishes, the Client experiences a relapse in sleep, the Client will not be eligible for a refund. Sleep regressions are a normal occurrence in babies’ sleep and there can be a number of different causes for this, unrelated to advice given by Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy.
12. If it’s found to be the Client’s child’s age is under 4 months and this hasn’t been explicitly stated to Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy, the Company reserves the right to not proceed with the Consultation. If this is the case, the Client will receive a full refund.
13. Data Protection
i. In order for Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy to be able to assess your infant’s sleep problems and support you I will need to record personal information about you and your family. This information includes yours and your child’s name, age and email address. I will also ask relevant questions regarding medical information and aspects of your family history. This information will be stored securely.
ii. This personal information will be held for a period of 2 years after your final consultation, except where there is a mutually agreed decision to retain it for longer, or where I believe that it is in my best professional interests to do so.
iii. Any notes that I keep while working with you will be a brief factual record of each session. These notes will be held for a period of two years as noted in point 2 of this document. Any paper notes made will be anonymised.
iv. I may make these notes available to a relevant third party where there is an ethical duty for me to do so, for example to avoid serious harm to yourself or another person, including the safeguarding of children or vulnerable adults.
v. Any communication by email or mobile phone communication will be securely kept. My computer and my phone are password protected.
vi. Your personal information will not be shared with any third party for any reasons other than those mentioned above.
Your Rights
You have the right to ask to see any information held by me about you or your child, and you will need to submit a request via email. You also have the right to ask for information that you believe to be incorrect to be rectified. I will endeavour to provide you with the information requested within two weeks.
If you are concerned about the way that your information is being held please discuss this with me.
14. Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy reserves the right to cease the provision of support in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to: abuse or harassment from a Client.
15. If your child becomes unwell, Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy will pause support until you are able to continue with the sleep plan.
16. Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy advises you to follow SIDS guidelines in conjunction with working on your child’s sleep. Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy cannot be held responsible for any consequences when not adhering to these rules. (See Lullaby Trust website)
17. Little Acorn Sleep Consultancy reserves the right to change the Terms & Conditions at any time.
18. Payment via bank transfer indicates acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
